Summary
A symbolic kingdom exists where playing cards have become rulers and subjects. Kings, Queens, Jacks, and Aces govern the society through strict rules, order, and rigidity. In this world, there is no creativity, emotion, or freedom. A young prince arrives and introduces music, imagination, love, and movement into this rigid system. He falls in love with the Queen of Hearts, and through this emotional connection, the kingdom begins to change. The fixed order of the card society breaks down as life, feeling, and freedom return.
