In the modern world, individuals can exercise their citizenship in various ways. Scholars generally divide civic behavior into three distinct types:

A. Active Citizenship Active citizenship involves direct, physical involvement in community service and social work. Active citizens do not wait for the government to solve every problem; instead, they take local initiatives.

B. Participatory Citizenship Participatory citizenship focuses on the political and administrative systems of the country. These citizens believe that change comes from engaging with the government and decision-making bodies.

C. Digital Citizenship With the rapid growth of the internet and social media, a new form of citizenship has emerged. Digital citizenship refers to the responsible, ethical, and safe use of technology to engage with society. A good digital citizen uses online platforms to educate others and raise awareness about social issues.
